Photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) has been proposed as an alternative for use in managing GSM and SUI. This article reviews the biological basis, symptoms, and management of Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM), and investigates the current status and rationale for the use of PBMT to treat these conditions.

It has been reported that phototherapy can be used in combination with physiotherapy exercise to effectively reduce chronic pain in the majority of cases especially in the short term. The added capability of phototherapy to promote tissue healing can enhance physical rehabilitation and may lead to the resolution of MSDs/OA in the longer term.

LLLT for Radiation Dermatitis

Therapeutic lasers work on the cellular level, enhancing the fundamental functions of the cells. This means that any pathological condition theoretically can be improved, if the suitable
wavelength and energy of light is applied. This is the beauty of laser phototherapy, but also the problem: how can one single therapy be used in so many situations?

Light as a Broad-Spectrum Antimicrobial

The ideal tool for preventing radiodermatitis is an agent that mediates DNA repair or promotes cell proliferation. Application of a low-power laser has been shown to promote tissue repair by reducing inflammation and inducing collagen synthesis. Moreover, this treatment approach has not been associated with adverse events and is cost-effective.

I volunteer my light therapy services at adoption events and in return build relationships with pet owners, groomers, trainers, rescue owners and volunteers. The big reward is working with pets looking for their forever homes.

Low-level laser (light) therapy (LLLT) in skin

LLLT appears to have a wide range of applications of use in dermatology, especially in indications where stimulation of healing, reduction of inflammation, reduction of cell death and skin rejuvenation are required.

RLT and ELT are large-area and full-body treatment modalities for skin rejuvenation and improvements in skin feeling and skin complexion. The application of RLT and ELT provides a safe, non-ablative, non-thermal, atraumatic photobiomodulation treatment of skin tissue with high patient satisfaction rates.

In summary, more than 25 years of experience in the use of low incident levels of laser energy for ILBI at 630-640 nm has shown that this waveband directly influences the parameters of all the cells in the blood, the status of the plasma and the blood coagulation system, in addition to all the structural components of the vascular wall.

Nitric Oxide Modulates Fracture Healing

The studies outlined in this report suggest that NOS is induced during fracture healing in rats and in humans. Systemic inhibition of these enzymes reduced the magnitude of the fracture‐healing response, whereas supplementation of NO to fracture healing augmented the process …

Using Light to Treat Alzheimer’s Disease

Treatments with light provide additional benefits: less medication is needed than other drug treatments, and there are fewer side effects.

Infrared Helmet to Stave Off Alzheimer’s

Low level infra-red red is thought to stimulate the growth of cells of all types of tissue and encourage their repair. It is able to penetrate the skin and even get through the skull.

Alzheimer’s sufferers search for a ray of hope

It has been known for some time that controlled exposure to red and near-infra-red light can improve wound healing and reduce inflammation through a process known as photobiomodulation — the term for light’s ability to affect key biological processes at a cellular or genetic level.

Turning on Lights to Stop Neurodegeneration

Red Light & the Subcutaneous Layer

We know that Red Light will increase nitric oxide (NO), which will vasodialate the blood vessels allowing for more and better circulation.

Blue Light – Good or Bad?

Therapeutic blue light uses the natural power and qualities of the sunlight, which science now knows is a wavelength between around 400nm and 500nm.

Modulated Light vs Sunlight

We can now use the good wavelengths (colors is deliverer by wavelengths) and leave out the harmful wavelengths. We has engineered delivery of the beneficial wavelengths from sunlight and modulated it into Low Level Light Therapy technology.

What the heck is Photopuncture?

Photopuncture™: Using a Light Therapy device with a focused beam (sold as Torches, hand held Lights, etc.) to specifically activate energy points (aka acupoints) along the acupuncture meridians.

This beautiful boy is a 6 year old testimony for Light Therapy. 2 years ago he was in the top 5 Cardigan Corgis in the US when he went to Canada to get his Intl. Championship. While on the trip back, he tore his ACL badly. The local vet immediately called for surgery to knit the 2 ends of the ACL together. However, his owner knew that surgery would shorten his stride on that side.

So we over-nighted a light therapy wrap to Montana, and she began lighting up both hind legs twice a day. When she got back to Tucson, he also got swim therapy on a regular basis. Within the year he was back on top. Here he is winning a Group 1! (die hard dog show people know what that means).
